House before sale

A portfolio of photographs made from my last visit to my mother’s childhood home.

6 of 15 photographs. A close-up view of the folds of fabric of the curtain. The fabric is in shades of green and teal, with horizontal stripes of each color. These stripes emphasize the wave of the curtain's folds.

10 of 15 photographs. In another room, a dark room with lilac walls is lit by sunlight through a green curtain. The mixing of these colors gives a strange, beautiful character to the room.

12 out of 15 photographs. Another corner of the pink bathroom is shown, with a small, brass articulating mirror on one side, which is also reflected in a round mirror on the other face of the corner. This mirror is etched with an agricultural motif.

13 of 15 photographs. Another bathroom is shown, this one in mainly aqua and green colors. The edge of a wall has a vertical grip rail, and the walls and cabinets show atmospheric deterioration.

14 out of 15 photographs. The interior of a walk-in, all-cedar closet is shown through a door. The lighting inside the closet gives it a golden glow.
